I am due to have an article published in the June issue of The Artist magazine which should be available from April 17th. It covers the comparative advantages of working in the studio and ‘en plein air’. I also describe my working practice and painting technique in the stage by stage development of the watercolour, ‘Broughton Bank and the Cleveland Hills’ pictured below.

To coincide with the end of the Month of Art when artists are invited to work en plein air in the gardens, the Hall will be hosting Peak District Artisans, various members of whom, including myself, will be exhibiting work in the grounds There is a £5 entry to the gardens. Cafe.

Well Dressing time is here again, and I will be back at my usual venue on Chapel Lane with a range of paintings, prints and cards on show . Free to visit but there is a small parking charge.

As part of this county wide open arts event I will be exhibiting at home, here at Hoe Grange. Other members of Peak District Artisans can be seen nearby at Carsington church and Beechenhill Farm, near Ilam. Take a ride out to view new paintings and an array of prints and greeting cards.
