The winter weather makes painting outside somewhat unattractive, and as a result I have been spending more time working in the studio. One outcome is a series of still life paintings, which can be found on a new page dedicated to that genre. I’m hoping the weather will eventually improve and I can get out and about again.

My large watercolour ‘Fin Cop, Derbyshire’, has been selected for this prestigious London exhibition. The view of the ancient hill fort standing above the River Wye was spotted whilst on a Peak District Artisans members walk. Several return trips were required to finalise the composition and before completion of the painting.

I will be exhibiting original paintings, prints and cards with other members of Peak District Artisans in the Stables Shop at Chatsworth House. The house and gardens are closed, but the cafe will be open. Free parking!
