As we move forward into spring I am looking forward to this year’s exhibitions and showing my work to visitors. Details of the events are now available on the website. Please contact me if you need any further information
Success at Buxton was followed by notification that my painting ‘Wolfscote Dale from Gipsy Bank’ has been selected for the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition. The exhibition will take place at the Mall Galleries in London from 14-19 September, and then a selection of the work will be exhibited at Castle Fine Art in Birmingham and the Guildford House Gallery.
June brought good news when my watercolour ‘Out of the mist’ was awarded a commendation at the Derbyshire Open Art Exhibition. The show continues at the Buxton Museum and Art Gallery. Well worth a visit.
Tissington’s renowned well dressings start on Thursday 14 May and I will be there with my annual exhibition of work. Please note the venue has changed from that previously advertised and can now be found at Chapel Lane, near to Hand’s Well – this is where I first started exhibiting at Tissington all those years ago. For those with a sweet tooth, a little further along the lane can be found Edward & Vintage with a huge range of old-fashioned sweeties and well worth a visit! Let’s hope the weather is favourable.
My work will be featured in this group exhibition at the Old Station Gallery in Rowsley. The show opens with a private view on Saturday 21 February 14.30 – 17.00. Please come if you can. Full details can be found on the Exhibitions and Events page
Along with fellow members of Peak District Artisans, I will be exhibiting in the Stables Restaurant at Chatsworth from 7 January until Mid-March. A wide range of quality art and design will be on show from 10.30 to 15.30 daily.
So why not take a walk in the park, treat yourself to lunch in the restaurant, and then feast your eyes on the exhibition
At the Derbyshire Open Art Exhibition preview, with the County Council award for my work ‘He had seen sheep rotting in the wind and sun’. The exhibition continues until Friday 5 September at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery.
2014 is starting well, with my painting ‘Fair Brook, Kinder Scout’ being selected for the annual exhibition of The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours at the prestigious Mall Galleries near Trafalgar Square in London. The exhibition is on from 2 to 19 April 10 am – 5 pm daily, so if you are in London do visit.
Dates of my planned events for 2014 have now been added to the exhibitions page. I look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new visitors alike.
Further good news – my painting, ‘St. Sunday Crag, Patterdale’, has been accepted for the Sunday Times Watercolour Exhibition, which will be held at the Mall Gallery, London, from 16-21 September
